		<description>This is how Edufire works:

1. Browse to http://edufire.com/classes/3327-introduction-to-teaching-with-moodle
2. Register with Edufire. (Create a new student account. Skip the "My Studies" step. There are "Skip" links beside the buttons.)
3. You will be forwarded to your Moodle course. Click the big, orange button to register.

Hope that helps,

<description>You're very welcome :). I have to credit my best friend who works for eChalk. I was looking for another messenger/conferencing tool that I could download to the school's PC (work computer) and laptop and due to filters, I could not download Skype.. but this seems to be a great alternative (and relative of Skype). I'm going to use it for the first time tonight with a classmate who's participating with me in the Moodle Trainer Course.</description>

<description>You also might want to check out:
kickyoutube.com. It's a site that converts youtube movies. A better site might be Tony Vincent's site: learninginhand.com, specifically:

		<description>Hi, Beth,

That sounds great.

Since South Aiken HS is a Moodle school, you might want to consider having students rate and/or discuss the podcasts that you show them. You could create a standard forum and let your students post and discuss their impressions; you could post a rubric for them to use to evaluate the podcast; you could have them answer specific questions; you could have them each post a question about the podcast; and so on.

Setting up a Moodle forum is not at all difficult:
 1. Log in to your course and enable editing.
 2. Scroll down to the section of your course where you want to create the forum.
 3. From the "Add an activity" drop-down list, select "Forum." &lt;br /&gt;&lt;img src="http://publicedpartners.org/itblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/beckham.png" width="95%" alt="forum" border="0" /&gt;
 4. Fill out the form to create the forum. Be sure to include instructions to your students.
 5. Let the students participate in the forum. (Of course, they must have Moodle accounts and be enrolled in your course, but I am sure Carole Wise would help you with that.)
 6. Encourage your students to respond to each other thoughtfully and helpfully.

You will find much better instructions for creating and using Moodle forums at http://docs.moodle.org/en/forum.

Just a thought, Beth.

Regards,
Art

<description>Don't have Moodle? Need a quick, free EASY way to post audio files?

Check out http://posterous.com/. You just create an account and post by email. To post an audio file, just attach it to your email.

It's worth a look!
