History - Founded in 1995, Public Education Partners (formerly GALEF) began its work in the twelve schools of Area One to realize the goals of Aiken 20/20 for education improvement. In 1999, the Board of Directors voted to expand the organization's scope to help all public schools in the Aiken County School District.

Tax Exempt - Public Education Partners is organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and incorporated under the laws of South Carolina, registered with the Office of the Secretary of State as a fundraising organization. Contributions are tax deductible.
