Experience which prepares me for service on the Board of Education:

My most important qualification/experience is that of a concerned parent with two children in the Aiken County School system. I know the joys and frustrations associated with the school system that face parents on a day to day basis. My strong desire to make a difference in the Aiken County School System motivates me to seek this office. I have spent many volunteer hours in various public schools in Aiken County since 1999 when our oldest child began kindergarten. I have seen first hand that our students, teachers, and administrators need help. They have many obstacles to overcome each day such as: administrative, budget, discipline, and facility condition issues. I want to help break down these obstacles and enable the students, teachers, and administrators to do their most important job, which is to teach our students.
