Each month PEP highlights a project on our homepage that we think deserves the community’s support. This is a great way to encourage teachers who are going above and beyond to enrich student learning.
CONGRATULATIONS TO BRANDI JOHNSON, RECIPIENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION PARTNER’S DECEMBER 2013 GRANT AWARD!
Congratulations to Brandi Johnson, Special Education Preschool and 5K, Millbrook Elementary! She received a grant of $486.45. As a teacher, “Improving mathematics and science learning is of great concern to me as an educator in the public… school system. Because it is my belief that early experiences affect later education outcomes, providing and exposing young children early to mathematics and science learning opportunities are likely to pay off with increased achievement, literacy and work skills in these critical areas. Early Success to Math and Science will allow students to explore mathematical and scientific concepts they will encounter in their everyday interactions with the world using a wide variety of manipulatives.”
